After reading History at the University of Oxford— where she started writing and performing sketches for the Oxford Revue, toured to the Edinburgh Fringe and completed her thesis on post-traumatic stress after the French Revolution— Emily interned at Warner Brothers, Los Angeles, and taught herself to screen write. She was a 2021/22 Minderoo Artist Fellow, a 2023 Ian Potter Emerging Artist grantee, a 2024 RAW Comedy state finalist, and recently completed a ten week residency at Charlie's on The Lot in Los Angeles, courtesy of Screen NSW and Australians in Film.
She is presently pitching her Sydney-based half-hour comedy series, BONDI RANGERS, and working on her first two-act stageplay, PEARL CLUTCH.
Other interests include parler mal le Francais, obscure Reddit threads, and foraging for fragrant cheese.
